Today is Tax Day in America, and I’m headed to the post office to pay my dues to Uncle Sam (at the last minute, of course). What do I get for my money?
Well, I get free access online to research funded by the National Institutes of Health, within a year of being accepted for publication. But what about the research funded by all the other agencies of the federal government: energy, environment, history, economics? Unfortunately, still no guarantees there. Hopefully we’ll be further along by Tax Day next year…
