CopyNight Orlando
I host CopyNight Orlando. You’re invited!
CopyNight is a monthly social meet-up to discuss copyright law and related topics. The goal is to build ties among the various stakeholders in the copyright system — artists, academics, lawyers, students, businesspeople, etc. — while building social capital in the local community.
The Orlando group will have its first meeting in January 2008. We meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7 pm at Stardust Video & Coffee (1842 E. Winter Park Rd., Orlando).
Subscribe to the CopyNight Orlando mailing list for meeting announcements. (No spam, I promise.)
There is no cost to attend CopyNight meetings. Everyone is welcome to attend. Meetings are open discussions; everyone is invited to ask questions or contribute what they know. We’ll discuss whatever topics catch our fancy each month, such as recent news stories.
There are a few simple ground rules for CopyNight Orlando:
- Be respectful of other participants. CopyNight participants come from all walks of life, and have varying opinions.
- Everyone who wants to speak should have an opportunity to do so.
- Come with an open mind. Our aim is to learn, stimulate discourse, and share ideas.
- If you drink, drink responsibly.

A bit about me: When I lived in Gainesville, I founded the CopyNight meet-up there. I was also a regular participant with the Washington, D.C. group when I lived there.
CopyNight is fun. Hope to see you there!
