Gavin Baker is a junior Political Science major from Longwood, Florida.

Gavin has extensive experience in technology and information policy. He currently serves as president of Florida Free Culture, director of FreeCulture.org, active member of Universities Allied for Essential Medicines and participant on the Senate Campus Improvement Committee. In light of the recent WebMail scandal, he successfully lobbied for student representatives on UF’s Information Technology Advisory Committee. He was previously a reporter and columnist for The Independent Florida Alligator.

Gavin will work to make Student Government more accessible and effective. He will ensure that technology decisions always consider student needs, and advocate for more programs that improve student life.
